I can tell you this much. I was flipping through a kids picture book of the movie and saw how he gets the costume.

Most retarded thing ever.

gotta say...

Spiderman 2 was better, but This movie is worth seeing more than once. Aside from Emo-Peter Parker (which had everyone in the theatre laughing) the plot was good, and acting was good as well. Its a shame you missed the midnight showing, the atmosphere is simply amazing.

It'll be hard to top the villains in this movie. Sandman is just so.... big.... You cannot really make any of the villains in Spiderman as big as he was... and destructive too. And Venom... wow. They did a VERY good job on Venom, although, he wasn't in the movie very long. The guy who played eddie brock jr (seems they are using the ultimate universe and 616 both), topher grace i believe, did a good job... and IMO the best actor in the movie was the kid who plays Harry Osborne. He probably won't win an award for best supporting actor, but he seriously IMO anyways stole the stage.

how is that for no spoilers? Its hard to not spoil this movie......everyone go see it so i can discuss it further.

nicely done on the spoiler avoiding-ness
bad reviews at rotten-tomatoes made me gringe, but often i find myself not agreeing with reviews over there, but you seem to be alot more into web-head than i am

ah...i didn't untill the ride home with two huge geeks. 616 is the original comics... the ones our parents (or mikey) grew up with. Ultimate is a newer comic series, released for people around our age with the success of the Marvel movies etc.

I enjoyed seeing this film, it was prety good. When I told my buddy Kaiyn that same thing, he said "Huh, must not have been that blockbuster everyone thought it would be" because I would have normally said "Great!" or something. I spent some time after the movie taking a look at everything that happened and compared it to a few peoples "reviews" such as Styros, and my original thought was about the same; good movie, but just didnt compare to the second one.

I need to see it again though. Being a huge Spidey fan, I took the original reviews to heart and after I felt kinda burned, cause I thought "Yea, these guys were right" however thinking back; im not sure now which of the 3 I liked most. Each film had in itself something that really made you like it. I guess what makes this one not on par with 1 or 2 is what they did to a few characters, some plotline developement and of course that dumb thing they did with Pete Styro mentioned. The biggest thing I disliked in the second film was killing off Doc Ock.

I think I'd have to see this one again to really get an opinion, though. More and more I think about it, I think I took everyones review opinions too heart too fast. Great film though, looking back.

I really disliked this movie, but I also disliked the entire spiderman franchise, god it just pains me to watch them, they're one gigantic soap-opera with spiderman thrown in as an afterthought, they just bore me to death.

I guess every comic book movie can't be sin city /sigh

i actually thought it wasnt all that bad, definately better than ghost rider or last year's superman
but i went in there knowing a few things, and so i expected them

all in all, i couldnt care about the caracter devellopment, or the story
but the action was cool

the new goblin looked sweet
sandman looked awesome, and proved a great foe
venom was alright as well

Didnt like, although there was some pretty sweet graphic effects.

Felt like the movie was trying to tackle too much.
