This Christmas it seems that one of the long time traditional themes of the season is no longer allowed....Peace. I remember when I was growing up, participating in a Christmas service (along with Crow) that mentioned Peace on Earth goodwill tward men. Apparently that is no longer a part of Christmas as people now view peace as a direct "anti troop" statement. No longer can you wish for "Peace on Earth" because by doing so you might make the troops feel bad for fighting a war, and you must not be supporting them. It seems to be a feeling felt strongly by parents of soldiers fighting in Iraq, however, I think it is misplaced in this Christmas season, as well as any other season. In fact I'm not sure why parents of troops seem so anti-peace, when you would think that they would be praying for it, as many of our parents and grandparents did in the vietnam war.
As for the peace symbol looking like a Satanic symbol, I think that it is just as likely that the original peace symbol was changed to not look like a Mercades symbol as it was that it was changed to look like a Satanic symbol. It's obviously a peace symbol either way, saying it is satanic is just another way to get it taken down because you don't like it's message.

Peace would mean troops wouldnt be getting shot at. I cant think of one thing that supports the troops more.

Otherwise I agree with ya Kadian, even tho it's hard to relate to it here in Sweden. But we do have anti-christmas movements tho, muslims who are offended by the fact that schools often celebrate the holidays at church want it changed into religious-free places..
