Isn't there some way. We can all install the game. Download up to 1.09. Hack in any gear we want. Then play a few lan-type games? PvP.. old school.

Could be fun

Heck, even some 1.10 on the realms could be fun. Imagine first leveling, MF, some PvP, possibly low level (or low budget

).

I would be absolutely interested... unless I buy WoW and the game swallows me.

Hmm, well it's not like I have a ton of other games to play, heh..

I might be up for it, and nowadays I have slightly faster broadband too, so it might be doable on US realms.

I think you're right...at least...you don't need different keys to play single player...and i'm fairly certain LANs are just an extention of single player mode.... i could be wrong, but i doubt i am.

As for playing D2... you should all just buy WOW and play with all of us nerds.

Lans are based off single player, so hacking up whatever you want or duplicating it is cake.

If any of you want to play realms with an old skooler, I am on USeast at times right now (not much lately, as life has been busy as fuck), and I can hook you up with some half-decent gear.

Oh ... and 1.10 is gone ... they are on 1.11 now - it started pretty much right before I restarted.

There are some pretty cool runewords that con be made now, and I think that every weapon type and quality level has at least 1 unique now, so there is more stuff to play with (most still crap, but there are a few gems in there).

All in all, it is a worthwhile waste of time for someone like me who does not have the time, nor the cash to be playing a WoW or SWG or something of that nature.
