haven't seen it, and don't plan to. At least I don't plan to pay for watching it, heh..

the movie is well made and it can be entertaining
but its so much like all the other superman movies
the dude looks like reeves, the way he speaks is alike as well
the plot is uninteresting
its all too cliche
if one franchise is in need of a revival its superman, the caracter has potential, if only he was a bit different

IMHO, superman is the least interresting of the great super heroes, mainly 'cause he's so over-powered and his arch-villain Lex Luthor isn't very cool either.. Never liked anything 'superman', not the comics, not the tv-show, and the movies are just fun 'cause they're so lame.

So yeah, he needs a major makeover, heh..

theres so many ways to make the caracter more interesting though

maybe his sense of justice gets warped?
maybe he gets problems cause he is always holding back his true strenght
maybe he has to leave the clark kent personna because he is always saving the day
maybe he could lose the corny, i mean, the talk about safe airplane was plain corn
they could bring out bizarro as well, or at least some dude superman can actually duke it out with, basically supermans enemies suck

oh and the goverment could try to control or enforce superman, hell such a powerful being cant be loose on the planet right?

he could look different as well, maybe beefier, but thats a qualm i have over the majority of super heros in movie, superman is just the pinnacle of that seeing as how he is the strongest and blablabla, yet he looks an every day kinda guy

hell if it we're up to me, they'd just make a movie of the death of superman
those we're just a bunch of idea, from someone that barely knows superman, but still, at least its not the same old thing
oh and no supergirl, or krypto the superdog, please

when they dont have anything more creative to say or do
they add or change stuff... they had to build an whole story behind him

You mean that's the actual story from the comics? That he, in the comics, read comics and love the heroes so much that he travels thru teh universe to be part of our universe.. Hmm.. Something isn't right here

i read that stuff, cause i was trying to get into the story of batman, it seemed interesting with the novels from jim lee, and batman year one and such

Bat-Mite is a fictional comic book character who appeared in stories published by DC Comics. He first appeared in Detective Comics #267 (May 1959).

Bat-Mite is an imp similar to the Superman villain Mr. Mxyzptlk. He appears as a small childlike man in an ill-fitting Batman costume, with a black lightning bolt instead of the Bat-insignia. Bat-Mite possesses near-infinite magical powers and comes from another dimension, much like Mr. Mxyzptlk. In Bat-Mite's dimension, the resident imps idolize the heroes of the DC Universe and impersonate them, re-enacting their heroic feats and adventures. Bat-Mite's favorite hero is Batman, and thus the imp visited Batman on various occasions, often setting up strange events so that he could see his hero in action. Despite this, Bat-Mite is more of a nuisance than a supervillain, and often left his hero alone when he realized he had angered his idol again.
