I thought we'd try doing all gaming under one board, however if that tends to get too confusing, we'll set it in groups instead.

i guess its feasible to keep it under one board...
but as said in other post, maybe having some main categories, and sub-categories..

yeah ... with the number of games out there and the sheer volume of gamers that we may eventually attract, I don't think that only having one borad for them is going ot be workable.

however, we could keep this one as a general gaming forum, then create other forums for specific games as the need demands it.

I actually disagree...if you're going to break it into subs you should break it into

MMORPGS
Strategy games
Sports game

It'd be alot easier that way..

I agree with Styro ... gaming genres would be a much more useful delineation of things than PC vs. console ... since most games are cros-platform nowadays anyway, and there isn't a signifigant difference between the PC version and console version.

I'm thinking of a couple of different ways... but more than likely.. waiting, and seeing how the masses come.

If 50% of the posts are about one game. Then it should get its own board. Like say WoW now might, or D2 back in the day. If 50% of the posts just tend to be on one subject. Say MMORPGs. Then that'll be the way to go.

I don't honestly think console games will ever be big enough to get its own thing.. because quite honestly they just don't bring enough 'debate'. I mean, in the past 4 years. I can't think a single post period, talking about one.

Yah your right. Its just then your going to need every category of games n shit, dont you think? Or maybe we could try what shazs said and just make categories for things as needed.
