blond bond, no tux, familly car

Post by shiram »

next james bond, featuring Daniel Craig
he is driving a ford mondeo
he wont be wearing a tux
he is blond, and ugly (some say that anyways)
he cant drive a stick, and he is afraid of water and heights

Casino Royale... is getting a ton of bad press
and its all focused on poor old Daniel
they even got a website going, about how unfit for the role he is

Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Sean Connery would play a better bond -now- then this guy. I think Connery is almost dead too :(

if i remember correctly, Roger Moore is actually older than Sean...
yea imdb confirms, Roger was born in 1927, while Sean in 1930
the fact remains that Pierce Brosnan could have definately done this movie as well, he wasnt too old yet

I'd much rather watch Connery play bond than this fool. MUCH rather. I suppose he won't drink martinis either. Screew this movie.

to me its a no-brainer

james bond is such an etablished franchise
i mean, they got like 22 movies made already? didnt they work, why change it now... of course casino royale being the first novel in the series is quite different, but i think now the movies kinda overshadow the novels
so it wouldnt have been wrong to tweak it around

also, he wont have gadgets
Yeah, well, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Well, Pierce i think had several good bond years left in him, but I am pretty sure HE was the one who decided not to do any more bond movies (funny since he spent such a rediculous amount of time grooming himself for a Bond gig as Remington Steel).

As for this new bond movie ... sounds like it might suck ass ... it's not quite the same as what they could pull with Batman Begins (which rocked!), since Bond is defined by the gadgets, tuxs, and look.

craig will be fucking sweet the only proof you need is Road to Perdition - he's an incredible actor that might actually bring a the character a couple extra needed dimensions - - I've got my cards on him doing well

Even tho Roger Moore is my all time fav, I think Pierce did a great job playing Bond.

Maybe this new dude, Craig will bump down George Lazenby as the worst Bond ever? :) 'Cause w/o a doubt is Her Majestys Secret Service the crappiest Bond-movie so far, but from I've heard Casino Roayle may steal that title

Ive seen the original Casino Royale but I havent read the book. Its by far the most different of the Bond movies - James is retired and old (which begs the question why not to use Connery). He joins with his daughter and Moneypenny's daughter to stop some french named person (like Le Chief or something). I think the guy who was the Pink Panther played Bond. Overall I kind of liked the movie, but it would have been a million times better with a good director.

edit: Bane I disagree, I think A View to a Kill might be the worst Bond.

personally i think bond is one of the stupidest characters ever created, his movies are all the same, stop some bad guy, bang a hot chick and play with gadgets. all the stories are the same, the plots are the same, and the actors always have the lame wannabe british accent and tend to be faggish.

although i like sean connery, he was a shitty bond, and well, he could've done better

Wtf!? That's a great Bond-movie! You couldn't possibly say that it's worse than Her majesty, they're not even in the same league! Also, Christopher Walken is in that movie, and since he pwn, the movie pwns.
