Their testing it out, but it appears they are putting "activate specials" back on hotkey (toolbar slot UI) which should render play to a more classic SWG playstyle

I'm clueless as to what this particular post actually means, but my observation of SOE and SWG is they are shotguning all kinds of things trying to fix something that seems infernally broke. In the name of progress, they seem to have continously changed small parts and pieces which impacted different parts of their userbase until finally they've pissed everyone off. Now they're going back and trying to fix little things while the whole picture is still all smudged up.

Congrats genie, you're getting a playstyle that makes sense back and should fix any confusion that vets get when coming back to the game. What they should do is leave all the items and stuff the way they are, give back the professions and change the engine back to pre-cu1.

I like specific guns and armor types for specific professions but everything that came into the NGE was worthless. I mean seriously, what other game would release a expansion then a month later revamp the entire game engine, 6 months after they released a expansion that was built around a revamp.

I promise the new expansion will be a kick in the teeth to a large population of the game.

wow, that is one bitter post that genie linked to.

IMO, all they're doing with SWG now is testing what will work for SWG2 or whatever MMO they'll develop down the road. It's as if they're not worrying about SWG as a game as much as they're seeing what people like and using it as a grandscale testing ground. All we can hope is that the devs have the common sense to learn from all their mistakes.

no wonder SWG sucks so bad, that first post was by Smed, and he didn't "help" EQ in any sense for sure

I just have one question -- Everyone seems to be talking about SWG 2... where are you guys getting the info that there is even a such game that could potentially come out? or is it just a given that there will be another MMO for such a great franchise?

SWG still made an assload of money. I'm just predicting there will be a SWG2. Especially since sequels do so well in gaming markets.
